Really, a great place to go with family and learn about the old south. Beautiful gardens, huge house to tour. The staff are very knowledgeable and you can tour slave quarters on the premesis. The family was close to the Audubons so there are many bird paintings and gorgeous antiques throughout the main house. So much to see, leave yourself a few hours to see everything.

Magnolia Plantation is the quintessential southern plantation, and should be on the itinerary of every visitor to Charleston South Carolina. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is helpful and knowledgable and are happy to show every visitor what life was like on a real southern plantation. The tours are informative and fun and the restaurant serves a delicious array of must have southern food. Magnolia Plantation is something that must be visited often by visitors and native South Carolinians alike.
